<strong>RADAR SIGNAL PROCESSING UNIT –USB BASED :</strong>
Radar signal processing unit will be supplied along with the trainer to log the
reflected signal from the targets and will be processed on to the computer using USB
port.

Software : Software will be provided in CD for the following
experimentation. Lab-Radar is a software application developed for
Educational purpose tohelp the Students to learn about RADAR PROCESSING
SYSTEM. Observing radar results in Oscilloscope (CRO) may not give you the
results in realistic manner. But the PPI gives you the radar results more realistically
and in graphical manner. Our Lab -Radar software provides you areal time output

Introduction to the Experimental Radar System.
Study of FM Doppler Radar System, outputs can be observed in the CRO.
Study of Radar Display Methods o n computer (PPI Method) m ethod.
Study of Transmitter and Receiver.
Study of reflections from artificial targets, outputs can be observed in the
CRO.
Study of measurement of velocity of a moving target with no of targets,
outputs can be observed in the CRO and PPI.
Study of measurement of detection of stationary targets in a class room
environment and PPI. (Manual Tracking) is required for repeatabilit y and to
avoid multiple reflections
<strong>Limitations for Room environment testing, For Stationery Targets Measurement:</strong>
1. Avoid most reflective objects in the scanning area of the radar.
2. Manual tracking of targets is a must to make a specific target as a most
reflective object.
3. Intruding the microwave signal or replacement of targets will affect the
plotting.
4. Principles of RADAR functions are easily understood in this unit.
5. Do not compare this PPI, H/W with Commercial Radars (used in Air force,
militaries) because this unit is only for Educational Learning purpose.
